Port Harcourt Higher Life Conference, 2009: Harvest of the Miraculous.

Bolanle Talabi.

LoveWorld Newsroom.

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009.

…… And when it was even, they brought to him them that were sick and he healed them all. ………

The voice rang out with authority across the arena, filled with an undeniable conviction, “every form of sickness will be rolled away tonight”; a thunderous “amen” rang out of the packed Liberation stadium right in the centre of Port Harcourt, the garden city. The people were [prepared having gotten a sneak preview of what the higher life conference held for them from our man of God, on the opening night.

Palpable faith was in action, undeniable expectations were expressed, fever pitch excitement pervaded the arena, indeed these were Bible days re-enacted.

World renowned tele-evangelist and 21st century spiritual paradigm, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was in his element this second day of the Port Harcourt Higher life Conference, accurate words of knowledge flowed copiously from him, palpable power was in operation as sickness and infirmity bowed effortlessly to the name of Jesus.

The results were mindboggling, miracles happened at the drop of a hat; truly the flood gates of the unusual were open with incredible manifestations. The testimony line was a sight to behold as one person after another sang their song of salvation; with every testimony came roars of joy from the astounded crowd. Obviously, they were on a spiritual high, Port Harcourt and environs had never seen it like this.

First out of the gate was a deaf and dumb girl, at the word of the man of God, Pastor Chris, She was instantly healed, that was only the beginning, a twenty one year old man who had been deaf since he was three years old began to hear at the instance of the power of God.

Cancers dissolved with ease as was the case of a woman who had suffered cancer and diabetes for three years; as the prayer was going on she felt an object fall from her heart; the result was obvious, she became every whit whole. It was the same experience for another lady with cancer of the colon, effortlessly, she walked into wholeness.

Hypertension, the dreaded affliction found its waterloo this glorious night when a who for thirteen years had suffered its ugly yoke became whole.

Renal failure, arthritis, heart conditions; whatever the name, no matter how high flown or sophisticated the description, they met their match at the name of Jesus. A scoliosis ridden woman simply straightened up, fibroids disappeared and an injured spinal colon was healed.

Thousands were added to the church; as they saw these miracles, they needed no convincing to troop out when the altar call was made.

As the meeting came to a close, nobody wanted to leave; like the disciples at the mount of transfiguration, they had seen divinity manifest in this moving spectacle, all they wanted was to build a tabernacle, stay a little while more, savoring the miraculous moments.

This beginning of miracles did the Chief protagonist of our faith, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, at the Liberation stadium, this second day and the ears that heard them tingled.
